Ok so I have been pretty lax in updating lately, sauwee!
Car Front I purchased my Sister’s old Mazda 323. It is a nice car, though finding an unschuffed panel is pretty hard 😉 I wanted to do it up a bit, but none of the mechanically minded friends seem to think it is worth doing. Shame as tidied up they are nice looking cars. It is good to drive, better still when I swap the tyres around.

Calm down dear it’s a commercial!
Well yes and no, I will be singing the praises of esure, but they have not paid for this. My site hasn’t been taken over by spammer.
It is just that esure have been fantastic! really their customer services and support throught buying my last car, the claim on the accident and all the supportive information has been great.
I can always get through via phone with little hassle, they are just amazing good and friendly.

On the car hunt again

Well the Puma is gone, it was written off because of some hidden work that didn’t come up on the check I did on the car. Now I need another car. My first choice is another Puma as I did like the old one and hadn’t gotten it out of my system. Plan B might be a Seat Ibiza, Hyundai Coupe or Mazfa 323F. At this stage I may just buy what I can to get on the road again.

Driving into work on a slippery Tuesday and the car in front of the car in front slams on the brakes to get into a side road. Unfortunately Audi A6s brake faster than Pumas even with ABS. I didn’t damage his car, bar a scratch. My bumper has been pushed in and the bar behind bent until it touches the radiator heatsink. For the record this is the first time I have ever phoned an insurer for anything other than a quote.

The Star and The Trekious

I went to see Star Trek yesterday evening with my friends; John, James and Susan. I’d like to put some reference in here for you. John is a fan of Batman and Star Wars, so tends towards preferring Science Fantasy or Comic Fantasy. James is a huge Star Trek fan, it is pretty much the base of his Science Fiction fandom and I would like me grew up with TNG. Susan I guess to a lesser degree, but I guess prefers Science Fiction.

Review of the Yamaha TSS-10 HT Sound System

The Yamaha TSS series (TSS-1, TSS-10 & TSS-15) is a funny home theatre set to bracket. These days you usually get HT setups in 3 manners; PC 5.1 with no decoding, all in one DVD set or a real separates system. Now imagine a very small niche in the center of these three where the Yamaha TSS (and Sony HT-BE1) resides. It offers decoding and multiple inputs like the seperates system, the one box solution like the DVD set and the affordability of the PC 5.

My Standard Install Pack

There are quite a few Application Packs available. Google Pack or TTCS OSSWIN CD are two good examples.
Here though is my recommended selection:
Browser – Has to be Opera – It is not without faults, but myself and my parents enjoy its security. Anti Virus – Avast! – Ok big props for using a piraty sounding name and for having a pretty, but lightweight antivirus. Photo Editor – Paint.

Well here it is, my new mota, the Ford Puma. So far I am loving it, as the kids say.
It is a wee bit more sporty and luxurious. The fuel economy works out the same as my old Ka. I am currently purchasing bits and bobs for it, like mats and an extra key.
It was Top Gear car of the Year 1997 😉
The hifi is good as it has line in, the speakers are ‘acceptable’ rather than great.
