Hacked Facebook Accounts
26 Jul 2012
I’ve just had a raft of spam comments that have Facebook.com profiles as their sites. I have for the time being blocked all comments from those with Facebook.com profiles as their sites.
As usual I will moderate before post all first time posters.

Skyrim can be very pretty at times, however the mod community’s additions are amazing. However even my GTX 560 Ti struggles with some of the amazing additions. This is a game you could mod out to tax even a GTX 690 with.

Adventures with Tablets & Mice
20 May 2012
One of the reasons I bought the Ainol Novo 7 Aurora is it connectivity. It has USB, USB on the Go and HDMI. Unfortunately no Bluetooth, but thems the breaks.
Above are some stupid photos from this afternoon. I am outputting to the TV via HDMI and have attached my old Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. I found that Android 4.0 supports mice nicely, but’s certainly a second choice compare to touch.

First Tablet Thoughts
10 May 2012
Below is an email I sent my mate when he asked about by new tablet:
So far so good. Ordered a case. It is ironically the same size as a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus which is also what I ran a script on it to spoof it’s self as so I could download more tablet apps on the Play Store.
It is not super fast like the Tegra 3 devices, but I think it is easily across my threshold for a device:

Canon LIDE 25 - Win7 64-Bit
13 Apr 2012
I recently bought a Bosch Fridge Freezer. Bosch are doing cash back at the moment and I needed to scan or photograph my proof of purchase. I managed to photograph it, but really I needed a scanner. So I hit the ebays and won an auction on a Canon LIDE 25. According to the matrix Mile High Guy posted on technet it is a supported scanner in Windows 7 64-Bit. It is, but not in the way you think.

Jack Tramiel RIP
10 Apr 2012
Sad to see a real computing legend pass away. Now I was an Spechum and Amigan back in the day. I never got into the C64 or Atari ST. However without Jack you wouldn’t have Commodore and without them you wouldn’t have Amiga, Workbench and Enlightenment.
I really like Mr C Hill‘s comment on the Register Article:
“Whenever I see documentaries on the beginnings of home computers they invariably focus on Apple/Steve Jobs and Microsoft/Bill Gates.

Ainol Novo 7 ELF
3 Apr 2012
Here we are again. It feels like ages ago that I ordered a Ainol Novo 7 Aurora. I was really hung up on getting a 7″ IPS display tablet. The answer to my dreams. However it was not to be. So I have kept an eye on the market. I wasn’t that bothered by the Ainol Novo 7 ELF when the Aurora was only £10-20 more and was IPS VS TN.

Photoshop CS6 Beta Vs Elements 9
22 Mar 2012
I thought it might be worth comparing Photoshop CS6 Beta to Elements 9. I’ve loaded up similar setups in both.
You can see clearly that whilst CS6 owes some likeness to Elements 9, it is a brand new interface. You can clearly see the there is a Bruce Willis and Jerry Doyle look alike thing, but next to each other you can tell the apart quite easily. However I always thought Jerry did have his own unique charm and is not just a poor mans Bruce Willis.
